Nutritional Effects on Blood Chemistry

Speaker Announcement: Dr. James Forster will present “Nutritional Effects on Blood Chemistry" at the New York State Chiropractic Association (NYSCA) 2024 Spring Convention!

Dr. James Forster is a 2nd generation doctor of chiropractic in his 39th year of practice. Teaching CE since 2016 on this topic, Dr. Forster evaluates more than 500+ labs per year. He has spoken for many institutions, as well as on the radio on the benefits of chiropractic, nutrition, and health.

His Mission is as follows: “At this point in my career, I am turning my attention and dedication to educating my colleagues. I am teaching an integrated approach to every patient and an understanding of how to interpret blood chemistries and suggest the proper supplementation, this method is complimented with nutrition and lifestyle changes to accurately treat ‘the cause” of patients’ health concerns’.

Learn more below about what participants can expect from this presenter at the NYSCA 2024 Spring Convention program.

How is the topic you are presenting at NYSCA 2024 relevant to today’s chiropractor?

Today we are primary healthcare providers, so we need to know how to do assess quantitative analysis in order to be thorough. What if anemia or hyperglycemia contributes to back pain?

What first made you interested in this topic?

I first became interested in the impact of nutrition because of my professor Dr. Carrol New York Chiropractic College (now Northeast College of Health Sciences) as a Graduate student. I was later inspired by Dr. Michael Cessna (Advanced Diagnostic Systems)

What practical knowledge or skills can attendees take away from your presentation?

Attendees will be instructed on the "biochemical x-ray" and will learn to understand the value and insight to combine qualitative with quantitative, as well as correlating objective (blood test) with subjective (patient symptoms)

How will what attendees take away make them better doctors?

Participants will be able to track results for health issues such as hypercholesterolemia, diabetes, hyperuricemia, and hypertension, and pinpoint the main area of inflammation.

What benefits do you gain from attending NYSCA Conventions?

I benefit from conventions because of learning more in classes, discovering new products etc. from the booths (stations), and meeting and collaborating with colleagues. I also enjoy reconnecting with my father's friends and colleagues and reminiscing. Growing up in this environment gives me a special feeling at every event; I guess it's nostalgic for me.
