Updated Guidance from CDC Regarding Use of Masks

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced today that fully vaccinated people no longer have to wear mask in most settings indoor and outdoor.

There are certain exceptions to the new guidance, including healthcare settings, on public transportation, and in businesses that choose to require them.

Based on the new guidance, DCs, staff, and patients are still required to wear masks.

CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Wallensky said, “Anyone who is fully vaccinated can participate in indoor and outdoor activities, large or small, without wearing a mask or physical distancing”.  The CDC still recommends masking for unvaccinated persons and those with compromised immunity

The NYSCA will continue to monitor the information as it occurs and will update members on a timely basis.
