Scope Modernization: A8541

The New York State Chiropractic Association and the New York Chiropractic Council recently announced that both state organizations have jointly submitted a draft Chiropractic Scope Modernization Bill to the Legislature.

The bill (A8541) is sponsored by Assemblyman Joseph Lentol from Brooklyn, New York. Assemblyman Lentol has always been a strong supporter of chiropractic, and we thank him for introducing this legislation and being the sponsor of our efforts to modernize the chiropractic scope of practice.  We also thank him for working with both groups to make some final changes.

We are working with the New York State Senate now to secure the introduction of the bill in the Senate. We will announce details on Senate sponsorship as soon as it is available.
