A member poses, and then asks. . .
I have a question about dry needling. What is the current position regarding scope of practice? I am in the process of being trained. I cannot find anything in the literature in New York state (OP, BoE, etc.) that states that we cannot perform this as chiropractors. I ‘m not seeing anything that says we can either. I have been doing EMGs since 2013 so I know were allowed to needle for diagnostics, are we able to for treatment purposes as well? Is this just something that has been looked over? Ignored?
Q: May chiropractors who have been trained in dry needling, perform dry needling on patients in New York state?
