Northeast College Receives Final Approval, Fall Start for Long Island-Based Chiropractic Program
LEVITTOWN, N.Y. - Northeast College of Health Sciences is pleased to announce that the Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE) has officially approved the College to offer a second branch of its renowned Doctor of Chiropractic program at its new Long Island Campus. This is the final official approval required for Northeast College to officially welcome its inaugural class of Long Island-based chiropractic students this Fall.
With this addition, Northeast’s Long Island Campus becomes an evidence-based hub for chiropractic education and care, powerfully preparing future doctors for in-demand healthcare careers as the only program of its kind in the New York City metro area.
Northeast College’s Long Island Branch Campus
The new Long Island Campus reinforces Northeast College’s commitment to providing accessible, high-quality health sciences education across New York state.
“Established over 100 years ago, Northeast College has a longstanding tradition of excellence in providing health sciences education,” said Northeast College President Dr. Michael Mestan. “The addition of another branch of our Doctor of Chiropractic program in Levittown once again sees the College educating future doctors in the New York City area, proudly following the tradition set with our College’s 1919 founding and first location in the Manhattan borough of New York City.”
Committed to the same high standards of healthcare education offered at Northeast College’s Seneca Falls main campus, the Levittown facility has been developed to include customized, high-tech, hands-on learning tools such as Force Sensing Table Technology™ and chiropractic adjusting tables, as well as an interactive 3D digital anatomy lab featuring multiple Anatomage tables.
To date, the Northeast College Levittown site has housed the Ernest G. Napolitano Postgraduate Center and the Frank J. Nicchi School of Continuing Education. The facility also continues to be home to the College’s Levittown Health Center, serving many community members seeking integrative healthcare like chiropractic care, acupuncture, massage therapy and nutrition counseling.
More About The Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE) and Accreditation
The Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE) is the national programmatic accrediting agency that evaluates the quality of chiropractic education programs. In 1977, Northeast College, known as New York Chiropractic College at the time, was one of the first chiropractic colleges to receive its initial accreditation status with the CCE. The College received its latest reaffirmation of accreditation in July 2016.
