FYI: When Will CMS Notify Clinicians about MIPS Eligibility

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has yet to release critical 2017 Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) eligibility information to allow providers to determine if they fall under the low-volume threshold exemption.

A recent letter from the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) strongly urges CMS to “expeditiously release the long overdue MIPS eligibility notices.” For more information about MIPS, please visit www.acatoday.org/MACRA. Fewer than 5,000 chiropractors nationwide are expected to meet the threshold.
